Does anyone out there know of any software that can transfer the information from a GSM/GPRS SIM card to my G4 iBook - I'm running Panther. I already have the SIM card reader - well, it's an old USB card reader I used to use on my mother's PC. Thanks guys.

I would kind of doubt you will be able to, but if you don't mind, why do you want to do that?
I'm almost embarrassed to admit it's for sentimental reasons. I had a car crash 2 years ago and I was in hospital for a while. I've got a Nokia 6310 with loads of SMS messages from that time that I'd like to port over to my SE P800

Thanks for the link superbovine. I was actually hoping for software that could copy my old SMS messages so I can put them on my SE P800. My old phone is a Nokia 6310. I know it's a bit soppy but the messages are from a time I spent in hospital. I keep all my old emails too!

Another , very comfortable AND almost stable Sorftware is "CardReader X" from "Meilenstein". We are working with it sind 1997. Actualliy, development of CardReader X seems to be discontinued, but the courrent Version is still working very fine.

You can download / buy it here:

The main problem is to get MacOSX-Drivers for the Harware you use to extract the data from your SIM card, the card readers you need, if you don't do it with a direct connection to your phone. At least in Germany, you almost only can get products from SCM Micro's distribution-brand "ChipDrive":

You find the Mac-drivers for their products here:

Good Luck!
