Hello, I'm new to these forums so hopefully I am posting in the correct forum, if not feel free to move this thread.

I'm new to Mac, I got one for film school. I have a special interest in audio and my Mac came with Final Cut as well as Soundtrack Pro and Garage Band. I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can learn the Soundtrack Pro software and Garage Band. They both seem very useful to someone like me, although I am more interested in learning Soundtrack Pro. I've attempted to use the program several times and it's totally alien to me.

Any and all help would be most appreciated. Thanks a lot!

Best Music Editing Software?

I now edit Choir concerts and solos on Soundtrack Pro but there are two things I can't find in the software:
1. How do I sharpen or flatten the pitch of a note in a solo?
2. How can I drop a Track into a complete concert recording to divide it into separate tracks without copying each one into a separate file?

Should I upgrade to a higher level software, if so, which one?

Many thanks for your help!
