I came across this app yesterday which I think rocks.

After switching to the app I wanted similar functionality to Tag & Rename and having tried every piece of software to tag my songs on OS X I was not happy and gave up numerous times but yesterday I must have made a slightly different Google search and found this and its great.

Not sure if its still in development though.

I wouldn't trust this to tag my library, because it tags "based on the information from the amazon music database", which is horribly inaccurate. For example, many of the release dates shown in Amazon are only the most current re-issue of a CD, not the original release date. Also, Amazon has multiple instances of many albums, some with track info, some without, some with varied pieces of info spelled different ways.

Looks like a good way to screw up a music library!

Thanks for sharing this. It's still a far cry from Tag&Rename, but so far it's as close as anything I've seen on OSX. I REALLY wish Tag&Rename would get a proper Mac port. I used to remote into my Windows machine for music tagging, but that sucker finally kicked the bucket a few weeks ago and I have no intentions of buying another computer just for tagging music. Sigh.

The guy who developed it is hopefully making it open source in the new year so I am hoping this will get developed to match Tag & Rename
