This is my first post on these forums and I have a quick question about why I am getting better download speeds for my black macbook than the new 27'' iMac. I tested both in the same area and surprisingly, the macbook reached download speeds to ~26 Mbps, while the iMac download speeds was ~8-11 Mbps 😱
I've maybe read somewhere that it has to do with the aluminum back casing, or perhaps the antenna is smaller than previous iMac models. Who cares to explain? Is there a way to attain the best speeds? I don't use any apple airport bases or whatnot.. I use a Dlink... Thanks and I've been following the "waiting for quad cores to ship" thread since September and these forums have been very informative. I got mine today, I ordered on 11/30 haha

Oh.. now it is showing speeds up to 20 Mbps.. nevermind?
