iPod Converting WMA to MP3? I-tunes difficulty

I got some music from my brother that's on a jump drive. It is in WMA format and when i try to click and drag it into my I-tunes, it wont accept it? I was able to save the files to my hard drive just fine, it just wont go to I-tunes??

Do I need to convert these? If so, how and with what?
