Please help, not sure which adapter to purchase

My friend's old 17" ACD isn't working anymore, so he's thinking of buying a PC monitor for his PowerMac G5. But the problem is, we don't know what adapter it needs.

Would we need a DVI to VGA adapter for this monitor?

What do you mean? The monitor's specs or the Power Mac's specs?

Really? That's great news! So, the Power Mac has a DVI-D on the back of it, right?

For simplicity, yes, it does. You can look at the graphic card's specifications for more information in the matter, but it should.
