I think the winners should get some sort of cool unique "post count title". Like "Demi-God of Design" or something.

are all the new threads started in order to enter the competition going to show up on the main page in the "other mac topics" bit? if this is the case then surely when loads of entries come flooding in we won't be able to see the threads that people are actually posting in?

just a thought?

This is all inclusive - its the MacRumors data base number. You can check to see for yourself the current post number when you click on New Posts and select the top post. The number in the link is the post count.

4+ years, not sure the exact date of the opening of the forums though. I've been registered for 4 years and 4 days.

there is a new Contest sub-forum in the Community Forum. Read the rules for submission and you'll see that there won't be that much confusion.

I really enjoyed some of the stuff people came up with for the last avatar contest. It will be fun to see what people come up with this time, especially in the incorparation of the number 1,000,000 contest.

It says the contest follows current avatar guidelines, with 40KB as the maximum. Why, then, does it say 20KB when I try to upload an avatar? Is 40KB for the demi-gods?

I think the avatars add a lot of personality to the forums. I wish that everyone had one. I'll have to post more often instead of just read because there is no way I'll win - my artistic skills are nonexistent.
