7200 rpm drives: Late to the party as usual

So I have my new MBP specced out ready for Jobbsy's announcement 26 Jan, principally including 7200 rpm drive - and now I find they're dodgy! I particularly wanted a fast drive for music production but I gather they're glitchy in a bad way. Are they all bad?

Of course they're not all bad. Tons of people are using them with great success, myself included.

A SSD will be much faster as long as you don't need the extra space.

I wouldn’t worry about it, as you likely won’t have a problem, and if you do, you’ll be able to get the drive replaced under warranty.
