Finder problem.

I just opened Finder and the Network and Macintosh HD directories are missing. Anyone have any idea how to get it back the way it was?

Go to Finder > Preferences > Sidebar

Been there, done that.....everything on Sidebar has a checkmark in it, but they still don't show up.

Under view, try arrange by...

In that case, have you tried a simple reboot? If so and still no luck, I would trash your finder and sidebar preferences and then reboot again. That should do the trick.

Found the fix under Finders-Preferences-Finder Preferences-General-New Finder Windows Open
