Hi there,

This is a pretty small thing, but it seems wierd. I'm new to the mac OS X.

Many times after I've installed an app and put it into the applications folder, the icon that is displayed in the application folder on the dock has a grey "no" symbol, like the no smoking type of thing. The icon shows normally if I open the application folder in finder, and I can move the app somewhere else and then put it back and it will be fine. It only seems to happen when the app has been moved directly from a disk image.

Any idea's why?
Thanks!

I find that it does that until I launch the application once, then it's normal. Kinda like a "This app is new, be careful" warning.
