I have an iPhone 3GS which was sync'd with a Mac which is now dead and unrecoverable, thus I am now back to using my old PC and would like to sync my iPhone again. However, I do not wish to lose data such as my contacts, calendars, text messages and call logs (along with app data)!

Is is possible to backup the iPhone without syncing it with iTunes first?
