Case for my n00b sister. she wants something THIN, SHINY, and BLACK.

If she is such a noob and you're not then how come you don't have any suggestions? 😛

Personally, I would go with incase.
 
case-mate barely-there glossy black meet her requirements, but doesn't provide much (or any) drop protection.

the incase slider is much bulkier but will do a better job on protection.
