You should be able to drag it off and let it "poof" and disappear
Normally the link is broken or the app has been deleted
Drag the icon from the App folder back to the dock to restore

Hmm now i cant move any icon, when i try to drag them off it just wont move.

i tried all that, but i just found the solution on the another forum:

Delete com.appledock.db and com.apple.dock.plist and then restart the mac.

Thanks for all the answers

Yeah, I'm sure that's where the others who responded were headed. But, it's always good to try the simple stuff first.
