I was using my eMac today (700MHz, 40GB HD, OS 10.4 Tiger) and it just shut down. It was unplugged for over an hour and nothing happens when I press the power button at all. I just got a Mac mini today so I have a nice new Mac to work on now :D. But is the eMac done or is it just like the PRAM just locked up?

if absolutly nothing happems if you press the power button , and i mean absolute nothing , then you could open the eMac ,which is not that complicated , and look if maybe the wire to the power button came lose
if its connected like it should then very likely either the switch broken or the powersupply is gone
but both switch and powersupplys are easy to change and easy and cheap to get of ebay or direct from apple or resellers
