Model number MC008LL?

my ipod touch model number is MC008LL...what generation ipod is this?

MC008LL/A is the third generation, but my ipod doesn't have the "/a" after the MC008LL.. mine is just MC008LL

is my ipod touch the second generation ipod touch? or the third generation?
