Okay so I bought these headphones, I heard it's compatable with the iPhone 2g jack, but I'm wondering if I can listen to the caller with the headphones and talk to he or she by holding the iPhone built-in mic close to my mouth.

Is it possible or will the iPhone recognize the connector as a mic since it fits perfectly?
