Multimix 8 firewire in logic 8 express
I'm new to this site, but not new to recording by any means. I am very familiar with logic 8.
I just received my alesis multimix 8 firewire mixer today. This is the first time I have worked with a firewire mixer in logic. I am wondering how to set it up in logic so that I can record the channels separately.
Here is what I have done so far but has not worked:
Downloaded the most current drivers from alesis. my computer recognizes the multimix fine.
In logic, under the preferences, I changed the Device to the multimix
In logic i looked under the I/O and the multimix is not there.
SO what am I missing?
Btw I am using a macbook Pro with leopard.
