G gear02 macrumors member Original poster Aug 19, 2004 #1 On PCs, there used to be a program called Pop goes the gmail which acted like a pop server between gmail and whatever email program you wanted. Since gmail doesn't have pop support, is there a software that will check gmail?

seamuskrat macrumors 6502a Aug 19, 2004 #4 I use GMail status. Its free and its also a menu bar app. Very non-intrusive. Since GMail is still Beta, I heard that many of the POP apps for the PC are broken now as they continually refine the log in and authenttication routines for Gmail.
