*Solved?* OSX 10.5.8 Screen Sharing: Can I change the TCP Port?
*Somehow Vine VNC server didn't like the monitor I had plugged into the machine; running headless actually works as expected, so this thread can be locked or deleted!*
I'm trying to build a headless fileserver out of an older G4 867mhz machine. I recently installed a fresh copy of OSX 10.5 and updated it to 10.5.8. I've been playing around with Vine VNC to try to get it so that I could log onto the machine remotely, but Vine keeps erroring out with "Screen format not supported" errors, so I've pretty much resigned myself to using the Screen Sharing feature of OS X.
The problem is that Screen Sharing listens on TCP port 5900, which is the standard VNC port. I'd like to change that to something a little less well-known. Can I do that, or is it hard-coded into the service?
