EVGA GTX 285 Issue
I replaced my GT8800 with a EVGA GTX 285 about a couple of months ago. Since then on about three or four occasions while running Vista Business 64 bit the screen suddenly went black and after about ten seconds it came back up and I got a message in the tray that said something to the effect that the video driver was recovering (from some sort of crash presumably).
This has happened while I was in AutoCADD (not 3D just regular drafting). Any ideas as to why it should do this?

First try and update your drivers; then check to see if the GPU is overheating or not; when the GPU resets it's usually caused by cooling issues; clean out fans and such and see if that can fix it.
