Question missing Settings Icon

So my girlfriend gets her 3Gs tonight and we sync it and update the firmware...

And get this... the Settings icon is NOT there lol

I searched for settings and it shows up there and I can access it that way but how do i get the icon back on the phone ????

Anyone ever even heard of this happining ???????????

If she bought it off ebay, it could have been jail broken and that icon removed.
Or it could be on another page.

Only things I can think of.

Location: At the iPhone hacks section.
Go into settings, General, Reset, and do a Reset All Settings.

Reset Homescreen Layout also might work. Or you could just restore your phone in iTunes.

Yes, thats why I responded and tried to help.
He can still get into settings thru spotlight, he's just missing the icon.
With the reset all settings many times missing icons will be restored thats why I suggested it.

Correct.
If those reset suggestiong dont work either the only left would be a restore.

It was new right out of the Apple store.

I just did a restore from the last phones update again and it showed up ... lol

odd for sure.
