I just updated to OS 10.2.8, my dock was working fine after that. Then I turned on transparent dock, an app that I used before the update, but that had been turned off when the update was completed. So I turn it on, change the features I desire and now my dock won't even show up. I've tried restarting my dock from Transparent Dock, and reseting from there, but nothing seems to work. Does anyone have any ideas?

Did you save the original Dock before you modified it? That's one thing you might try - restore the original one.

Transparent Dock window->Reset Dock tab->Reset Method:Reset from backup...

This was going to be my suggestion as well before I read jsw's - I believe my brother actually ran into this issue once himself, or something similar, and he had to use a restore/reset function like that.

Good luck!

can you just restart it, by lunching it with its icon in the "coreservices" folder?

/system/library/coreservices
