Possible dead iBook Screen...where to start?

I have an iBook that we bought within the last two years and suddenly the screen appears to be dead. Any idea where to start troubleshooting with it?

Thanks,

R~

I've had this problem with powerbooks and it turned out the battery wasn't inserted correctly. If that's not it, the next thing would be to try it with an external monitor. After that, I'd call Apple.

If its a late ibook g3 (assuming it is) it is most likely a dead logic board.

One of the symptoms for this is dead video...so you might want to give apple a call. good luck.
