Hey guys,

I just bought a new macbook yesterday. When I tried to add the wireless internet that my school provides it won't work. It says the self assigned IP address will not connect to the internet. However, when I plug in an ethernet cord the interent works fine.

Any suggestions????

Thanks!

Hey there,

This situation reminds me of something. When I tried to connect with my Macbook to the university WiFi I had the same problem and it was fine when I used Ethernet.

The solution in my case was that I had to download the WiFi certificate from the university website and import it in Keychain Access, just by double clicking it. That pretty much did the trick.

Hope this helps.
