is it possible to rename a group of files to a name then the number of the file, so b1 b2 b3 b4??? something like that? basically I want to do it for my photo's, I have them iphoto, but that doesnt actually change the file name, just the name, so I wanna be able to know exactly from what they were like vacation1234 etc any ideas??

try "Batch Renamer". does exactly what you want to do.
