Besides the the OS and the iApps there is nothing to restore on a PowerMac... or maybe the US version is different on that?

I'm not using the US version... it's the Australian version (actually I think it's the international english one... anyway, I can choose Australia and that's all that matters
🙂)
I didn't say there were 10 CDs for software restore... I said it came with ~10 Cds,
5 of which are software restore. Anyway, here are all the CDs that came with my Quicksilver (10 in total):
* Applicaitons
* Restore 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5
* OS 9 install
* OS X install
* iPhoto
* Apple Hardware Test
* PLUS: 2 CD-Rs and 2 DVD-Rs
Just for the sake of comparisson, the iMac 800 comes with (12 in total):
* Applicaitons
* Restore 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 &
6
* OS 9 install
* OS X install
* iPhoto
* Apple Hardware Test
*
World Book
* PLUS: 2 CD-Rs and 2 DVD-Rs
And for the sake of further comparisson, my old G4 400 came with (4 in total):
* Software Install
* Software Restore
* iMovie 2
* Apple Hardware Test
So in ~2 years, Apple's systems have gone from 4 CDs (sawtooth) to 12 CDs (LCD iMac). If they continue at that rate, in 2 years time we'll be buying Macs with 36 CDs!
Time for DVDs, methinks.
