Wow not even 'that was lame / you suck' derision. I have to admit, I wasn't expecting that :)

I liked it. Nice work.

Sometimes a bump is all a thread needs. :)

Simple, but brilliant. Oh wait, simple very often *is* brilliant.

Well done. ;)

A very Apple-like commercial.

I agree, I thought it was very well done. Hits the right notes while not being overly PC-bashing. And the end was perfect I think.

Fun idea. I'd like to see a version 2 where the search queries are more directly related to eachother, maybe building up to the BSOD. Perhaps start with "how do i set up my new PC" and build on from there.

Also, make it less obvious it was recorded on a Mac ;)

All in all, like I said, fun idea. Don't take any of what I said above as too critical, just a stream of thought :)

EDIT: If you do the "I'm Feeling Lucky" on the phrase "I want a computer that just works" I think you'll get your desired results ;)

I'll never understand why mac users still feed the need to bash PC users... I don't get it.

Taking something as cute and romantic as the google ad tOo turn it into this hateful thing. SMH:confused:

No one's bashing PC users. It's bashing a company. And if PC users feel so insulted and deeply put upon that they feel the need to actually complain about it, then they might need to re-evaluate their priorities.

If I was bashing a PC user...it would be myself. Everything I put in that video related to my two days of frustration after I was forced at work to get a new Dell laptop, upgrade it to Windows 7, and proceeded to have trouble with the bluetooth, crashes (well, lockups), and general pull-my-hair out because it was so lame frustration.

Now, I will admit I never saw a blue-screen in Win7, but that experience was my inspiration for the video. I have nothing against PC users. Windows, however, makes me want to pull my hair out every time I'm forced to use it.

So, don't take it personally. It was meant to be a joke.

Very well done, even though my main computer is an HP DM3 and I am absolutely loving Windows 7, that commercial is very simple, elegant, brings upon a point (exaggerated but a point nonetheless), and very creative.

Giving myself one shameless plug bump because someone else apparently picked this for the main page of The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)! I'm pretty excited about it.

I now wish I would have spent an extra hour to make it more professional. Hiding the Safari aqua scrollbars, or actually recording it on a PC with the right color pointer, etc.

But oh well. Just a little chuckle for the Mac community, I'm glad so many people have gotten smile from it :)

Keep it up! You've got some talent in this area! :)

I wonder if you could pitch it to Apple . . . or at least the idea.

They found it from my site! (See "source")
=)

Great video btw.

Liked it very much; great ending. When I heard the final chord and saw the apple logo a Pavlovian response was set off in my head that made me sigh and relax... i.e. I thought my Mac was starting!

Nice thing about it of course is that then you go and check to see what you do get when you "feel lucky" about "what computer should I get"...
