Does anyone know what this small plastic piece of accessory is intended for?
It is the bottom piece in this link.

As a holder it's quite useless. It either falls down, or there is no way for the USB cable to exit at the bottom.

If you have a universal dock, it is an adapter so the ipod fits perfectly, without being too lose and/or falling off.
