Google Chrome Bookmark Shortcuts
Hey, so I recently started using Google Chrome after seeing all of the new extensions. So far a few things are still left to be desired. I was wondering if anyone knew of an extension I could use to enable bookmark keyboard shortcuts,
i.e Command+1 for your first Bookmark in your Bookmark Bar on Safari.
In chrome Command+1 will select a tab if you have multiple tabs open.
The lack of the shortcut has severely slowed down my work flow,
I have been using Command+L to focus the address bar and manually typing in the website.
I have searched a lot today and found Bookmark Launcher, Shortcut Manager, and Chrome Dial.
I am not looking for these extensions. I might use something like USB overdrive and map out the key combinations (if I can).

exactly what i thought. please post here if you have any ideas.
I figured out a way to use automator/applescripts and keyboard shortcuts
I tell system preferences to run my scripts
i.e command+1 will open Apple in a new tab. have been using "command+shift+1" to make sure that Chrome focuses on the new tab, instead of opening it in the background.
would like to write some new scripts that open the page in a tab, and close the previous tab. but i don't care enough to do that right now

you can set up url shortcuts for your address bar so typing "mr" in the address bar will forward you to "macrumors.com" to do this you right click the address bar and select edit search engines first feild in the name in our case "MacRumors" next what you want to use as a shortcut "mr" and finally the address that should speed things up a bit or you could go to system preferences and then set up a keyboard shortcut like option+1 to go to the bookmark of your choice to do that you go to "system preferences> keyboard and mouse> keyboard shortcuts" then add a new shortcut at the bottom the little plus symbol add the bookmark name EXACTLY as it is shown in your bookmarks tab in the menu bar and then add your desired shourtcut key combination hope this helps not quite what you were asking for though

I have found this out already - Unfortunately, the site opens in a new tab (the keyboard shortcuts idea).
Any ideas? I was originally trying to write an applescript that hits Command+Shift+[ and then hits Command+W
so that way, the previous tab would be closed, and the new tab would be active.
seemed like a ridiculous work around though.
I have been managing - but i would still love my shortcuts back!
