Hi Group

The only problem I have had with my MAC is on the DVD drive. I have a disc containing some PDF files. If I offer it to my MAC it fails to display the contents and after a lot of grinding noise I have to crash the computer to release the disc. When I tried this on my daughters laptop with Windows it worked perfectly and I was able to transfer the files I wanted to a memory stick and then put them onto a disc that can now be read by the MAC.

I have 3gb of ram on my IMac and have been surprised that this can happen.

Any help would be gratefully received

Sounds to me like the disc was not formatted in a way Mac OS X could understand. I have never had any disc not-read for me.
