Mac Mail Features
I want to be able to have incoming mail go to a folder to help sort and keep all emails together. I think Outlook does this and I'm wondering if Mac mail does too.

Nope, use rules not smart mailboxes.

the video didn't help me at all. I tried smart mailboxes, but when I got an email from that person it didn't go to their folder.
What are rules? thanks! |

Also, I still want to hear my mail sound. I want to know when an email comes in and I want it to be organized.

You just need to look at the basics of how to use Mail. It comes with a Help feature that will answer most of your questions. The links I provided will go into more detail. Your sounds are managed in Mail > Preferences.
