What is a good webcam for Mac Pro (2008)

I will be mainly using it for Skype.

I'm torn between an iSight from eBay or the aGent v5 HD. I'm looking for feedback on anyone who has used both or another suggestion that I should consider.

I have read threads here on MR that the audio on the aGent is very poor.

Is an old iSight still worth the $70ish for which they have been selling.

I have been using the built-in webcam on my wifes HP laptop for Skype and I'd much rather be on my Mac!

Thank you.

I have used the iSight in the past, it was a very good cam for the time.
Yoy might want to take a look at this cam too:
Logitech® QuickCam® Vision Pro for Mac®.

The logitech quickcam vision pro is about the best. Far better than the old isight.

Thanks for the recommendation! I see that it's $80 after rebate at Amazon. Sounds like a winner for the same price as the old iSight!

Is the Microsoft LifeCam HD Mac-compatible? If so, it looks like a good option...

EDIT: Sorry, that's LifeCam Cinema now, not HD. Plus, it appears that it is NOT Mac-compatible...

Is it $60 better than a never used iSight still in the box?
I found one on Craigslist that a PC user tried to use on their PC, and is selling it for $40...

But I thought about the $99 logitech one...is it THAT much better?
$40 is hard to pass on one that was never used.

I like the way they look too, so I guess $40 isn't bad?

I'd pick one up for $40. When the price starts approaching $100, I just don't know since I've never used one.

Any other opinions? Where is my $80 best spent - used iSight or new Logitech QuickCam Vision Pro? Thanks!

Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000?

Has anyone used the Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 on their Macs? I was reading about this on Amazon and it looks like this is a better camera verses the Quickcam Vision Pro in that the 9000 can also record HD videos whereas the VP cannot and the microphone has echo and noise reduction. Amazon pricing for this is $90.00 so it's right in the ballpark.

This thread compares both and is relatively recent (Jan 2010 posts on second page).

Thank you Skorpien. Sounds like the 9000 is not the way to go for me. But picking up a video camera to use as a webcam sounds very intriguing...
