OK, it's time to justify the upgrade! Can anyone provide a guess as to how the new iMac G5 will perform for iDVD MPEG2 encoding?
My 1ghz G4 iMac takes about 3 hours to encode 45-60 minutes of video. Will the 1.8 G5 do it in half that?
Anyone out there with a SP 1.6 PowerMac have some stats? (Anyone with a PM G5 get iDVD to work?) I guess it will be a bit slower on the iMac with the slower FSB.
