My macbook core solo as of yesterday has only one working ram port, it was shutting down for no reason so i reseated the ram and found it would only boot with ram in one port. So i guess the other port is dead, i'm not paying for another logic board and it's way out of warranty so i was wondering if one 2GB ram stick in the only working port would work as well as the two 1GB sticks of ram in both ports.
