Unhappy My new Iphone 3G[S] 32GB White got prob with GPS and Compass

i just bought my new Iphone 3G[S] 32GB white last Saturday..
what the problems i got is the GPS cannot find the current location..
and the compass also got prob..
the compass will work after reboot..
then i go tap to map try to open compass back.. the compass didn't work anymore..
im tired to try fix this problem..
does anyone know how to fix this?

The following solution worked for me

Hi,

I had the exact same problem which started about 6 months after I got the phone. I just finished using iTunes to restore the firmware and now it is working fine.
Just sync the phone to iTunes to back it up, then select Restore. It takes about 20 minutes but you can then reload your backup from iTunes, another 15 minutes, and you are good to go.
