UT 2004 game crash when using Microphone

Hey,

I've got Unreal Tournament 2004 running on 10.3.5 -- a 15'' AL Powerbook 1.25ghz.

The game runs smooth and fine, but whenever I strike the "G" key (the microphone key that is supposed to let me talk with the other players), the game freezes up completely and eventually it will crash to desktop. This happens everytime I try. Also, the other player's communications via microphone are garbled and choppy -- completely unrecognizable.

Of course, I can avoid making the game crash by not using that key --- but, this is quite an annoyance since I would like to use my microphone ...and, sometimes I accidently hit G, and boy, does it ruin my day.

Anythoughts or ideas? I've seen nothing on this issue, nor can I find any OS X dedicated forum for UT2004 -- any ideas there?

Love,
Joe the Dogus I

You should be using patch 3226. There have been several issues with microphones and UT2004, though.

You might check http://www.planetunreal.com/ for various information about UT2004.
