New Iphone 3.1.2 Jailbreak Question
3.1.2
modem firmware 5.11.07 bootrom 359.3 From what I have read i think i can have a untethered jailbreak But i read that blackrain is for a tethered JB. There is so much info out there, and so much is conflicting. hard to know. i sure dont want to screw this up and end up having to upgrade it to 3.1.3. so im being careful before i start I have used redsnow on my Ipod Touch, so I atleast have used that Blackrain, sounds easy. which would be bettter, or maybe safer? |

You have an untethered JB. Not because of the method you use, but because of the bootrom version you have. I would recommend redsn0w for your JB. You have used it already and it is very stable. It's not as easy as Blackra1n but it's far from hard. Thelatinist has a thread on here that has links to the iclariified tutorials, which has everything you need. Just note, you can ignore the first few steps of the tutorial that tell you to upgrade to 3.1.2. There is a line that says it in the steps to skip to Those an move on.
