I want to upgrade my GF IBook G4 laptop from a 512MB to a 1GB.. I've read a couple different things about the PC2700 and the PC2100.. Does it matter what one I buy?? It's a 1.07GHZ laptop if that helps.. Also, if anyone has had luck with their upgrade can you post a URL on where you got your upgraded memory..

Thanks

Thanks that helped alot!! So I went to Crucial.com and they said they couldn't find an IBook G4 Laptop that had my specs of 1.07GHZ, so they couldn't tell me what 1gb memory stick I needed.. I think it's this one though:

The 1.07GHz iBook (I have the same) was advertised as 1GHz iBook quite often. The 70Hz don't matter that much anyway.

And you can upgrade the iBook up to 1.25GB of RAM, which you will be able to with this stick, as 256MB is soldered onto the logic board, the other 256MB are swappable.

Alright cool.. I was totally getting confused with the 1.07 GHZ and so were they!! lol.. Now it doesn't matter if my computer ask for PC2100 and I use a PC2700 from what I've read right??

Also, what are some other upgrades I can do for my gf's IBook?? She hasn't used this thing in years I guess!!
