What are some of the Best app that are free for a mac

Im new to the mac world and im just look for some great apps that are free. For when I get the new macbook pro when it comes out if it does....

Here is some that i already know...
HandBrake
iStat Menus
CleanMyMac
Screenflow
Adium X
and Firefox

If you want to find the best app, make sure you know what you want.

Computer (PC/Mac) is just a tool.

As the other poster recommend macupdate, I agree.

With the ratings you can see what other mac users think of the programs. No need to start yet another thread on this when there's a number of them already floating around.
