whats the best laptops graphics processor now?

i heard the ati fire was really good, or is the one in the powerbooks the best?

iv heard the quadro go fx was the best but that the ati fire gl's were also good but didn't compare to the desktop version

the best is the mr 9800 as its based on the x800 core
but i would prefer the 9700 to the fire although fire is supposed to be better at cad

im sure tomshardware or barefeats can tell you the real answer

Um.

FireGL and Quadro cards are crap cards for gaming... they're purely meant for high end image rendering for frame-by-frame imaging.

The best gaming mobility chip at the moment is the Rad9800 Mobility based on the X800 core.

why all the worry about the best vid card? since new hardwarez are coming out all the time you should just to for whatever laptop has the highest numbers in the video card model, and the highest amount of memory.

Some more on the M9800: Its the best card for gaming, but the thing is the size of a full desktop AGP card. So for compact solutions (ie Powerbooks) the M9700 is still the best solution.
