Hi there,
I currently use cable for my TV requirements (as well as internet + phone).

I buy the odd DVD, rent the odd DVD and download the odd film of the net ;).
These are normally downloaded onto a flash drive and then played on my PS3.
I also have 2 kids that like watching Jonas, Wizards, all the usual!!

We do watch a lot of tv shows though, 24, Greys, etc etc.
We use a PVR supplied by our cable company to record most of these shows so we can play them back and skip over the ads which drive me nuts!! Because of this and the overall cost I have often thought if Apple TV would suit me better.

For those of you that have replaced your cable/sat TV with ATV, how have you got on? Do you find it cheaper, more practical, a bit of a gimmick??

Really interested on your thought.

Many thanks in advance.
