Hi everyone, just joined, looks like a great forum.

In MS Word on my desktop, I seem to have lost the 'Header and Footer' option under 'View'. I checked my friends Word on his laptop, and it did in fact have it. Both comps have MS Word 2008, and my desktop is a quad core i7. (Also, I have searched the Help menu, and the only thing that comes up is the AutoText version of Header/Footer which is not quite the same - leading me to think that it's actually missing...and yes everything is up to date)

As a student I use this function almost daily and it's extremely frustrating not having it. If you have any tips or ideas please let me know, thanks.

Welcome to the Forums

Wish I could be more help
I have poked around a little and I can't find your solution
The "headers and footers" is present for me and I can't make it disappear

Hopefully nadyne will be along and can shed some light on this
Or perhaps another user

In the meantime, if you are able to find a solution, be sure to post back and let us know in case others experience the same problem

Just going to put it out here....

have you tried resetting your mac?

Edit* and welcome to the forums.

If you still can't figure out, then an alternative way of getting headers and footers is go to the tab that says Document Elements, and under that tab should be two more tabs that says Headers, and one that says Footers.
