Can't type numbers after logging out and putting the ibook to sleep

I have a weird problem recently. When I first realised that I can't type the numbers zero to nine. I was shocked I thought my keyboard broke. And its only a week old. I restarted and it worked fine. But yesterday I logged out and put my ibook to sleep, this morning after I woke it up, it happened again. There is no response from that whole line of buttons. Anyone with similar problems??

Check to see that you haven't accidently hit the function key (fn), as i had the same problem but with all my letters and found it was that.

no its not the (fn) key i didn't touch it. 🙁

HelP

No matter what I do now, restart or log out, i cannot press the numbers zero to nine. Even when i press the shift keys I can't get to the symbols.

HELP.....i can't even get the exclamation mark out. Those key just stopped functioning.
