Let us hope that this is true. Apple isn't sending out any signs that it is excited about it's Macs right now.

The person who wrote this article is clearly stupid. Since Apple will never update their Mac line to Arrandale processors, it will wither in die in a matter of days.

Don't forget that Apple Computers, Inc. renamed themselves to Apple Entertainment but absolutely no Computers, Inc. This clearly shows they won't be making Macs any more.

Actually, it's just Apple Inc.

so by your rational, they won't be selling anything.

They just took out the 'Computer' part (it was Apple Computer Inc.)... Now it is Apple Inc. (Inc.=Incorporated which is like GmbH in Germany)

Apple Inc. And it's only clear if you ignore all the Mac sales they've made since the name change and the fact that they sold the most Macs in their history last week.

Maybe not so clear.

can't believe this guy gets paid for writing 'opinions' that actually say nothing. That 's not the first one from him I've read. It's a good life...

Ah! Humor. Y'all are a bit lighter in tone than the thread on an explicit app section.
I think Apple should sell peanut butter. I love peanut butter with my apples.

If Apple went into jarred spreads, maybe at last we'd have someone with sufficient clout to seal the trans-Atlantic rift on what exactly counts as jam?

Re: the article, I'm not too bothered about Macs — incremental updates will do me fine, for a few years at least. It's still the only OS that gets typography right. And it's Apple, so you have to assume they have dozens of groups of people working on things much better than incremental updates, even if only one of them ever advances sufficiently to reach a shipping product.

He should bring it in even if Applecare has expired! It's definitely not functioning properly.
