Music Program that plays back music and produces Sheet Music

I'm looking to write some music for our short film and I'm looking what program I should use.

I've tried Garage Band and I'm more interested in a more formal composing software where I can print sheet music to be played by musicians. Suggestions?

I've been using Finale for years. I think the first version I used was 3.0 😱

Definitely, the best sheet music app. Lots of features.

It might be a little difficult to learn, but you'll get really professional results.

Sibelius is by far the best, and the industry standard.

Sibelius is brilliant, and as mentioned, industry standard. I'd wholly recommend it.
