iphone 3GS - CANNOT SYNC APPS FROM ITUNES

All the apps in iTunes are greyed out, i cannot do anything with them. I have switched to manual sync but still cannot sync.I have the latest version of itunes installed on my imac and the latest version of firmware on my iphone.

Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure you've authorized the computer for your iTunes account.

My iphone is authorised on my imac but still all the apps are greyed out. Boggled!

Try deauthorizing and then authorizing.

if you're trying to drag them from the Apps screen to your iPhone, you can't do that

with iPhone selected under Devices, you have to do it from the Apps tab
and make sure the "Sync Apps" box is checked

I had the same problem with the apps greyed out in itunes.
I noticed that the apps icon had disappeared off the main screen pages so i:
went into- settings - general - restrictions (enter password) - check that installing apps and in app purchases is on. The app icon reappeared on the main screen of the phone, i then went back into itunes and the apps page was back to normal and i can sync again. I hope this works for you

thelordnyax macrumors regular Join Date: Feb 2008	if you're trying to drag them from the Apps screen to your iPhone, you can't do that with iPhone selected under Devices, you have to do it from the Apps tab and make sure the "Sync Apps" box is checked
