ipad is fine with appletv preset and HD
I know this is really an ipad discussion here in the appletv forum, but I feel like it belongs here in all honesty. Too much traffic over there so it will be lost and probably only 'us' care about some of these technical details:
Ripped blu ray version of Toy Story 1 using MakeMKV, encoded at 1280x720 23.97fps at 20 CRF with aac and ac3, inserted soft subtitles using subler and also chapter pictures with subler. Syncs just fine.
I haven't tried a file with 3 audio streams (director's commentary for example) but i'll try that next - I don't predict it having any problems.
Tried an SD file that I encoded under the universal preset - as expected, plays just fine as well.
