iPod touch Restoring my frozen iPod touch.

My iPod recently crapped out on me, the touch screen no longer works but my volume/home/lock buttons all work properly. I also noticed that whenever I do a hard reset of my iPod the time always goes back to 2:18. I want to restore my iPod to see if it might fix it, but when I open iTunes I can't access my iPod because there is a passcode. I can't unlock it using the passcode because my touch screen doesn't work.

Is there any way I can restore my iPod another way or bypass the passcode somehow?

Sorry about the waste of a thread, I used http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 to fix my issue in case anyone else had a similar problem.
