Can we ask dev's to add our iDevice IMEI to their account?

I was just wondering if we were allowed to ask a dev to put one of our iProducts to their account?

I know that I can ask any random dev, I mean, on macrumors/forums are we allowed to ask?

basically, is this thread breaking the macrumors rules?

and if not.. any devs wanna be a good person today? haha
