I think the JBL On Stage looks awful cool. And it'll be about $100 cheaper.

I've read some pretty varying opinions on that. I keep hearing lots negative about Bose. I'm pretty ignorant about speakers though.

I heard google can find all kinds of crap for you.

BTW, if you can't hear the difference between Bose speaker and quality speakers, more power to you. Just buy whatever you want.

It's $299! That's as much as the starting iPod itself; you could get yourself much, much better speakers for $299 (granted they wouldn't be portable). Of course, it's your money. I'd invest in some nice headphones and home speakers.
